Little Things. . .
I'm obsessed with red nail polish right now, I just can't get enough of it. It is such a classic color, yet so bold at the same time. Whenever I stare down at my hands, I just love the way it looks! It's the little things in life that really get me.
Similar to break dancing to the radio in my internship's fabric room! haha It's so off the wall, especially when no one is there, but still fun at the same time!
I really think it is important to stop and enjoy the little treasures that life brings us. Things may feel chaotic at times, but when taking a step back and enjoying the little things, the bigger stuff doesn't seem that big!

Art and Design for Social Justice Symposium
We are all constantly striving for the "ah-ha art moment"! The moment where the creative juices are flowing and all of our ideas just click! The process of creating art becomes the beauty of self expression. I may be a quite person but through art I am able to speak volumes. Art becomes this outlet of letting the world see who I really am. So with that being said, can you still be private person while letting your art express the real you?
I recently attended the Art and Design for Social Justice Symposium, where this exact question was asked. As artists we put our hearts and soul into our work. We express ourselves openly and freely which can make us vulnerable to mixed opinions. So is there a way to fully express yourself creatively without criticism?
"The most beautiful thing to do is tell the truth, and truth is the most beautiful thing."

I am an Engineer of the Late 19th Century!
I don't want to be stuck in the past, I want to be a progressive thinker! The Late 19th Century were classified into three categories:
The Revivalists, people who were afraid of technology and embraced the past.
The Engineers supported the potential in the Industrial Revolution, they were the progressive thinkers.
The Grim Underside of thinking revealed the negative ramifications of the Industrial Revolution. They were against commercialism and thus emerged the Arts and Crafts movement.
Okay so I know its 2010, but these views and outlook on the world still hold true. We still have historical restoration, new advances in technology, and rebellious hippies. Whether its the Great Exhibition of 1851 or Neocon World's Trade Fair 2010, there will always be different opinions and new developments.
I want to be apart of these new developments, I want to be an Engineer!. . . . or Interior Design, lets not get carried away.

New Year, New Things!!
I would like to thank William Morris the titled "Father of Modern Design".
"If you want a golden rule that will fit everything, this is it: Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful" - William Morris
It is a new year and time to clean house! We are all of course, "Products of our enviornments", it is time to celebrate it and really personalize our spaces!
